Stuart Knechtle, MD
Chairman of the Board and Chief Scientific Officer

Stuart Knechtle founded Renovar in 1999. With 20 years as a leading transplant surgeon and researcher, Stuart oversees the strategic development and key industry collaborations that drive Renovar’s growth. Dr. Knechtle received his MD from Cornell University and is currently Professor of Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

Peggy Hedberg
CEO

Peggy joined the company as CEO in 2006 to lead the commercialization efforts of the new products. Leveraging off her successful tenure as a corporate executive (most recently at Lab Safety Supply) Peggy continues to invest and manage several start up, high growth companies, adding to her impressive portfolio of growing companies. Peggy received her BA from Carthage College.

Huaizhong Hu
Principal Scientist

Huaizhong is the lead researcher behind the development of RENOKINE™ I and II. Huaizhong's creative approach to analyzing all chemokines in post-transplant patients led to the discovery of the biomarkers. Huaizhong obtained his PhD from Utrecht University, Holland and has an MD from West China University.

Terry Sivesind
Founder and Board Member

As founder and board member and long-time tech entrepreneur, Terry has a reputation for start-up success specializing in the biotech arena.  He received his MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Bruce Gabrielse
Board Member 

A retired Executive Vice President of Intercon Construction, Bruce is active on the Boards of both Oak Bank (since 2000) and Renovar (since 2002). He received a BS in Accounting from Trinity Christian College in 1982.

 

Rhona Vogel
Board Member (joined in 2006)

Rhona Vogel founded Vogel Consulting in 1993 which has grown to one of the largest multifamily offices in the country specializing in Private Equity investments. Rhona serves on the board of P&S Investments and Hadder Industries.  She began her career as a partner at Arthur Andersen.



Charles Goff
Board Member (joined in 2006)

Charlie Goff serves as General Partner of the NEW Capital Fund, LP a $10 Million Venture Capital Fund headquartered in Appleton, WI. Charlie previously owned and managed Forward Enterprises, a distributor of industrial piping.
